James works with leaders and organizations seeking greater clarity, effectiveness, and fulfillment in their work. His perspective is shaped by a diverse career spanning enterprise consulting, nonprofit leadership, higher education, and executive advisory roles.
He has led and advised organizations through complex change initiatives, managed large-scale programs with multimillion-dollar budgets, founded both consulting and nonprofit organizations, and taught leadership and management at the university level. His work bridges strategy and execution—helping leaders translate vision into sustainable, ethical, and human-centered results.
In addition to his consulting and teaching, James brings a strong coaching and counseling foundation to his work, enabling him to support leaders navigating growth, conflict, and transition with insight and empathy. He is the author of WorkTopia and currently serves as an adjunct professor at Kent State University.
